Northpoint Exhibition at CentralFestival Pattaya Beach

Northpoint is once again back at CentralFestival Pattaya Beach from 4 - 15 June on the 2nd floor in front of Central Department Store. As usual, our sales representatives will be on hand to provide you with all our project details and answer any queries you may have.

The River Update

During May, The River continued to progress at one floor per week per tower with no adverse impact from the political conflict elsewhere in Bangkok. The prime labour camp is located in Thonburi, well removed from the protest rally sites or blocked roads so that there was no default in labour attendance.

The main construction remains on programme. The South Tower's core structure has reached level 43, (higher than the adjacent Peninsula Hotel), with the floor slab at level 39 while the North Tower's core structure is now at level 33 and floor slab at level 30. Construction of the Private Residents Club swimming pool on the 23rd floor at the North Tower is ongoing. The overall podium structural progress (podium A, B and C) is 93% finished with work on the fifth floor and final floor ongoing. Glass Curtain Walls and Window Walls installation to both Towers has resumed and will meet the planned programme by end of July.

Architectural works including unit partition walls, blockwork and plastering are ongoing. First fix Mechanical (fire, sanitary and HVAC systems) and Electrical services are progressing. Elsewhere on site, the retention tank behind both towers complete.

Substantial shipments of the imported floor and wall tiles have been received on site and are awaiting installation.

Northpoint Update

May 2010 works at the Northpoint project continued with the pace of construction activity being markedly increased as we approach the final weeks. Phased home owner inspections are ongoing and ownership transfers are being processed to take advantage of the extended transfer tax relief scheme. There has been little adverse impact on the project due to the political situation in Bangkok.

Apartment fit-out works are continuing towards completion commensurate with corridors, fire escape stairs and common areas. Building signage has been completed throughout the project. At both towers the external final cleaning of all façades, aluminium and glass and external louvers are being completed by spider men. The main entrance lobby fit-out works are now complete at both towers and have been furnished. The lift car fit-out works continue, two lifts per building have already been completed. Sky gardens at level 29 tower A and level 24 tower B are now complete and gymnasiums have been equipped and tested. All management offices and back of house facilities are occupied and functional. MATV antennae are now installed and connected.

Final Mechanical & Electrical, Fire Protection and Waste Water system tests have been completed and have been formally handed over to the facility manager for ongoing operation.
