The Heights Phuket Wins "Best Condo Development (Thailand)" at Thailand Property Awards 2009

Raimon Land continues its success at the annual Thailand Property Awards by picking up the Best Condo Development (Thailand) award for The Heights Phuket in a glittering ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.

The Best Condo Development (Thailand) award is a new addition to this year's event and is only eligible to completed developments. Having received over 1,000 nominations, a 300% increase from last year, the winners of each award were picked from a shortlist for each category by a panel of judges.

The award for The Heights Phuket was the second time the judging committee has selected the project for recognition, having won the Best Development (Phuket) last year.

Raimon Land Launches Private Residence Clubs

The River Update

Construction of The River continues to make steady progress throughout the month of October.

The South Tower core structure has reached level 13 whilst the floor slab is at level 9, having already risen above the project's first residential floor at level 7. As the tower continues to climb, installation of the external hoists has commenced enabling material and labour to be delivered at each floor. Progress at the North Tower has been commensurate achieving lift core at level 12 and level 5 floor slab progressing. The concrete batching plant is now connected through a series of pumps and placement booms allowing speedy placement of concrete with reduced waiting times for concrete works on the upper levels.

Drake & Scull International (DSI), a leading end-to-end MEP international contracting company was awarded with the vital Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works contract.

Meanwhile, pouring of the concrete slab for the infinity pool has been completed and is awaiting mechanical installations to begin. The technical mock-up, located in the basement of the South Tower, has advanced to the stage of door, joinery, air-conditioning systems and kitchen cabinet installation, which enables the contractors potential design and installation conflict resolution prior to the works commencing on the residential floors.

Northpoint Update

Northpoint continued to make good progress towards completion in the month of October.

The sky garden fitness areas are in the process of fit-out, with fitness equipment deliveries and installations ongoing throughout the past month.

Swimming pool waterproof testing works have been completed while tiling works have commenced. The fun water slide structure and retaining wall have been also been completed. Softscape package works have been procured and works are currently underway on site. Construction of the beach pavilion has also commenced throughout October. Overall, the external works are on schedule for completion by the end of December 2009.

At the car park, the structure is now in the process of receiving an external façade cladding system with planter boxes.
