Construction Updates

The River

Construction of The River in the month of April continued to make solid progress. Both the basement slab and the first floor slab of the South Tower are now 100% complete, while the basement slab of the North Tower is 100% complete and the first floor slab 75% complete. Installation of the fifth and final tower crane has been completed which will be utilized to distribute construction materials from the stock yard to the main project area.

Meanwhile, at the Podium the isolated footing is 98% complete and the basement slab is 82% with the first floor slab 10% complete.

Northpoint

Through April 2009 Northpoint continued to make progress despite the Songkran Holiday shutdown period. The demolition works at the beachfront sales offices and show unit building are now practically complete allowing for imminent commencement of the landscape package works to the 12-rai site. The new show units and sales offices have been re-located to level 3 of tower A and are facilitated by a new covered walkway that has been constructed between the sales office car park and Tower A.

Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing first fix installations have progressed towards the penthouse levels, and the second fix installations are progressing significantly at both towers. The lift package works are due to be commissioned shortly for temporary services during the works and are significantly advanced in terms of overall progress.

Pattaya Sports Weekend

Sports fans looking to experience the great outdoors lifestyle on offer in Pattaya need look no further. This weekend sees both the Top of the Gulf Regatta and the Pattaya Rugby 10s tournament in town. Taking place from April 30 to May 4 at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club, Raimon Land will be participating in the 2009 Platu Coronation Cup on the sails of The Lofts Southshore skippered by last year's winner, Scott Duncanson, who will face an expected fleet of 17 platus from six countries. Meanwhile, the rugby 10s will take place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of May at the Horseshoe Point Resort & Country Club.

Raimon Land Golf Ambassador Scoops Another Victory

Raimon Land golf ambassador Thongchai Jaidee won another major tournament after a tense play-off hole at the Ballantine's Championship on South Korea's Jeju island. Congratulations to Khun Thongchai for yet another great win, which has moved him into the world's top 50! His next tournament will be next week's Player's Championship in Florida, which will also feature world number one Tiger Woods.

Extreme Golf at Legends Golf Course

Major Raimon Land shareholder IFA Hotels & Resorts' first entry into the wildlife hospitality market was in the Legend Golf & Safari Resort in South Africa. This spectacular development features The Signature Course, with each hole endorsed by the signature of one of the world's top professional golfers. However, it is The Extreme 19th, with the tee situated on the top of Hanglip Mountain and accessible only by helicopter, which has captured the attention of golf fans around the world. Raimon Land Visits Chaiyapruk Foundation

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, Raimon Land visited the Chaiyapruk Foundation's "Living Tree" home for under-privileged children to participate in a tree planting project. The company donated funds last year at the American Women's Club gala dinner, with the proceeds going to the Chaiyapruk Foundation, and the Club invited company representatives to visit Living Tree to join in planting palm trees.
