The River Construction Update

As of the end of June 2009, construction of The River continues to make good progress, with the landmark project rising steadily on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
Work is currently focused on the podium, which will cover 5 floors and feature all of the communal facilities as well as the car park. Pouring of concrete for the huge second floor slab has now commenced and the car park ramp, which is now a prominent feature with its spiral shape, is also at level 2 to match the floor slab. Meanwhile, the walls of the building's cores continue to rise, and now stand between levels 3 and 4 in both towers. At the river frontage, which will accommodate retail areas, the floor slabs to level 3 are ready for concrete pouring.
