Why Invest…Pattaya Points To Strong Long-Term Growth |
|
Raimon Land's research department has just released the latest in its "Why Invest" series, a detailed examination into the residential real estate sector in the booming beach resort of Pattaya and its vicinity.
Why Invest...Pattaya points to key indicators driving the market. Tourist numbers climbed from 6.1 million in 2006 to around 6.8 million last year, and Pattaya is in the heart of Thailand’s fastest growing regional economy, which jumped 12% from 2005-2006. Pattaya’s condominium sector saw the average price per square metre soar 52% from THB59,000 in 2004 to THB89,842 in 2007.
Returns are impressive: rental yields have been averaging 6-10% returns per annum and particular buyers at Raimon Land’s Northshore project have enjoyed a capital increase of 30% per year.

The River was pre-launched in March 2007, and within three days the initial units released were bought at a record-setting price for Bangkok of THB150,000 per square metre (psm). Since then a further 311 condominiums have been sold for a total value of THB5.6 billion, an average of THB130,000 psm.
According to Raimon Land CEO Nigel Cornick, the recent sales figures represent a very positive signal about the current strength of Thailand’s luxury property market.

Raimon Land teamed up with the Human Development Foundation (HDF) recently to provide 500 special children with a fun-filled afternoon as part of the annual Love Fun Day at the Mercy Centre in Klong Toey.
The HDF, Raimon Land and other sponsors provided children with a range of exciting activities including face painting, magicians, balloon makers, a bouncy castle and a hearty barbeque as the kids were given a chance to take time out and enjoy the atmosphere with their friends. Raimon Land also plans to build two self-contained homes for 40 children each, one for boys and one for girls, at an estimated combined cost of THB5 million. The project is part of our commitment to providing a positive contribution to Thailand’s future.
