Northpoint’s South Tower Reaches Level 14 |
|
Construction of the South Tower of Raimon Land’s beachfront development Northpoint in Pattaya has reached Level 14, with the balcony structures now prominent on the building’s façade. Progress on the North Tower is also proceeding on schedule, with the structural works having broken ground and rising several storeys. Sales at Northpoint, which was launched in November 2006, have been strong in the early months of the year. On 1st Quarter of 2008, buyers have signed up for 60 units worth THB600 million at an average price of THB 120,400 per square metre. Take up in Northpoint’s South Tower has been particularly positive, reaching 79% of the targeted THB2.71 billion on sales of 138 of its 163 units. North Tower sales have hit 38% of its value at THB846 million.

The River is Ready
for Main Contractor Mobilisation |

The pilings at Raimon Land’s largest project to date, The River on Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River, have progressed on schedule, and the site has been cleared in preparation for the foundation contractor mobilisation. Instructions have been issued to set up a preliminary site team and carry out a site soil investigation to improve on the previous sub-structure temporary works scheme. Negotiations over the sub-structure and main contract works are nearing conclusion and the package should be signed soon. The landscaping on the northern boundary now provides extensive shade for the new site access, and the award-winning cylindrical elevator has been installed in the show suite. Sales for The River have surpassed THB6.17 billion, with 345 condominiums fetching an average of THB130,000 per square metre. |

ROSL Commonwealth Day |

Raimon Land supported this year’s Royal Over-Seas League Thailand (ROSL) Commonwealth Day on March 10 with a gala celebration at The River Promenade. This year’s Commonwealth Day celebration was as successful and spectacular as in previous years, with the Commonwealth’s cultural diversity being demonstrated by the various embassies through items they provided that are representative of their countries. |

King’s Cup Elephant Polo |

Raimon Land is sponsoring Thailand’s national team at this year’s King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament, an annual charitable event with the proceeds being donated to the Kingdom’s National Elephant Institute. The King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament was launched in 2001, and to date has raised over US$175,000 for the elephant institute. This year’s event is being held from april 31 – April 6 at the Anantara Golden Triangle Resort, Chiang Rai, moving from its previous venue in Hua Hin to be closer to the elephants’ natural home. ROSL Young Musician of Thailand |

Raimon Land is among the sponsors for this year’s second Young Musician of Thailand Competition organised by the Royal Over-Seas League Thailand (ROSL). The finals will be held on April 20, at a gala reception at The Conrad, Bangkok. The competition recognises young Thai performers of western classical music who demonstrate an exceptionally high level of talent within four categories: keyboard and harp, strings, woodwind, and brass and percussion. Winners will receive The King's Trophy, a cash prize of THB100,000, air tickets to London to perform at the ROSL Princess Alexandra Concert Hall, a recording session with Sony BMG and a performance seat in a concerto with famed Conductor Bundit Ungrangsee in an internationally recognised orchestra during a 2008 Thailand concert tour.

Top of the Gulf Regatta |

As a supporter of marine and lifestyle-oriented events, Raimon Land will again sponsor the Top of the Gulf Regatta to be held at Ocean Marina Yacht Club in Pattaya from May 2-5, 2008. International yachting crews from the UK, Holland, Croatia, Australia, New Zealand and all over Asia are now making their way to the Kingdom to prepare for the event that marks the change in the monsoon season. Competitors will vie for the royally sponsored HM the King’s Platu Coronation Cup, the event’s Top of the Gulf Regatta Trophy and the Optimist National Championship for young sailors aged between 8 and 15 years. The promising mix of young talent and experienced hands make the Top of the Gulf Regatta one of the highest profile events of its kind in Southeast Asia. The regatta has already attracted over 500 yachtsmen manning a fleet of more than 250 vessels.

Raimon Land is the principal sponsor of this year’s Chris Kays Memorial 10's Rugby Tournament on May 3-4 at Pattaya’s Horseshoe Point Resort. The competition is annually organised by the Pattaya Panthers Rugby Club to promote the sport among younger boys and girls. The registration for participating teams will be held on Friday, May 2, at Raimon Land’s Northpoint condominium development in conjunction with the party for the Top of The Gulf Regatta, which is being held the same weekend. |

Adrian Bowin appointed as Senior Vice President – Development |

Raimon Land welcomes Adrian Bowen as its Senior Vice President – Development, and he brings with him an ability to “turn dreams into reality”. Mr Bowen comes to Raimon Land from Plantation Holdings Limited (Thailand), where he served as Managing Director overseeing luxury residential resort projects. The Australia native’s career is grounded in design and project management, and he has worked on dozens of multi-million dollar developments, mostly in Australia and Thailand. Mr Bowen also has plenty of hands-on experience behind his master’s degree in commerce, including a certificate in carpentry and several years as a senior site engineer.

Benjaporn Chatkaew appointed as Senior Vice President – Sales |

Benjaporn Chatkaew has joined Raimon Land as Senior Vice President – Sales, Business Development, after a four-year stint as Project Director and Director of Sales and Marketing for two La Raffiné condominium developments. Ms Benjaporn’s 15-year career in real estate began with the Floraville Group, before moving to managerial positions with Tanayong plc, First Pacific Davies, Suntowers and Colliers Jardine (Thailand). In 2000, Ms Benjaporn received her first executive assignment at the Challenge Group (2000-2002) as Vice President – Sales. She received an MBA from London’s Middlesex Business School in 1991.
